About the Donald E. Davis Arboretum

The Davis Arboretum is an Auburn University facility dedicated to the display of native woody plants of the Southeastern United States. It is a teaching resource for the University as well as the region. In addition to displaying native plants, it is our goal to promote ecological education through the study and observation of plants and their natural habitats.

Our mission is to promote the understanding of, and appreciation for, the natural world, emphasizing native southeastern plants and other associated organisms.
