Living Collections Fellowship at the Arnold Arboretum

The Arnold Arboretum is now accepting applications from talented individuals to become the next Living Collections Fellow. This distinctive, 2-year fellowship affords an early-career, public gardens professional the extraordinary opportunity to take leadership roles on significant initiatives relating to the Arboretum’s living collections.
The next Fellow will in part focus her/his efforts on the Arboretum’s 10-year Campaign for the Living Collections, an ambitious program of acquisition and development. They will have opportunities to shape the acquisition planning over the next two years, and will participate in plant exploration activities directly.
Dovetailing with this, the Fellow will also take a lead role in the curatorial review of several genera prior to their submission for National Accreditation to Plant Collections Network, to include in-depth archival study, development planning, landscape management decision, and identity verification.
The Fellow, as part of the management team, will work with leadership on numerous other projects and will also have opportunities for special project design, implementation, and completion.
Application deadline: April 1, 2017
