Plant Heritage, the national garden plant conservation charity, is seeking a Plant Conservation Officer to join the small conservation team at the national office, based at Loseley Park near Guildford.

Reporting to the Conservation Manager, you will be responsible for developing and promoting cultivated plant conservation through the National Plant Collections, Plant Guardians (single rare or unusual plants held by members).  As one of two plant conservation officers and with a network of volunteer collection coordinators, you will facilitate, encourage and support creation of new collections and stewardship of existing ones.

This is an exciting role that represents additional investment by the charity into conservation UK-wide, as we are about to celebrate our 40th anniversary and are looking to see a step change in delivery of our conservation work. Some UK-travel will be required.

Please see role description on our vacancies page for more details:

Closing date is 9:00 am on Monday 11th December 2017
