My name is Mehari Girmay Gebru. I am PhD graduate in Plant Ecology and Biodiversity Management from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. I have also been certified in Plant Biodiversity conservation, Environmental and social impact assessment, Project monitoring and evaluation, CRGE facility and safeguards framework, MRV system, Biodiversity and climate changes. I have technical skills in ecological data analysis using R-Software, GIS, SPSS and XL spreadsheet. I have served for more than 8 years in the Ministry of Mining Ethiopia, Environment and climate change directorate as senior Environmental Impacts Reviewer and Monitoring expert (Ecologist). Reviewing Ecological impact assessment, Monitoring and evaluation of environmental management plan of projects, checking for the consideration of indigenous flora and fauna management approach in the project’s ecological program, Proposal projects development, training material preparation, and providing training consultation were additional roles and responsibilities in the institution. Currently, I am a researcher at Gullele Botanical Garden.
