Chaska, US
My undergraduate education is in horticulture, and I have worked for public gardens and similar spaces for nearly 20 years. My Master’s degree is in K-6 education with a focus on science, technology, engineering and mathematics. In my current position, I am responsible for maintaining plant health in our collections. Using integrated pest management principles to determine best practices, I strive to ensure pollinator and wildlife health as well as visitor and staff safety. From scouting to diagnostics to treatments (when necessary), there is almost always something new to see pest-wise.
