I am a trained horticulturist with 15 years’ experience teaching practical horticulture and a proven record in project management. Most of my practical experience has been in glasshouse and containerised collections in the UK. My position since 2009 as a project officer has brought me into contact with a wide a range of horticultural set-ups and experiences and hence my expertise has a broad base, although specialisms include ferns, and the families Zingiberaceae and Geraniaceae. I am passionate about the value of horticultural skills for conservation and the sustainable use of resources and my strengths lie in passing on skills to enable others to find the best solutions for their own situation. The range of my experiences, which cross practical horticulture, capacity building and publishing, reflects my desire to facilitate sharing knowledge and skills to benefit plant and human communities.
