My research focuses on tropical horticulture and botany of tropical dry forest plants, aim to develop conservation strategies through the introduction of native plant into urban environments and the creation of sustainable gardening. In my work as Head of horticulture and science at the Botanical Garden of Cartagena I am leading research projects on plant conservation, ecological restoration, propagation of native species and curation processes of the herbarium and seed bank. I also lead the curation of the living collection, prioritizing the education and ex-situ conservation of native species.
