antiago Madriñán, Ph.D. in Botany, Harvard 1996. Full professor at Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá) since 1997 and Director of the Cartagena Botanical Garden since 2015. Expert in Floristics, Anatomy, Morphology, Systematics and Evolution of Neotropical Plants. Has published books, scientific papers and communications in Evolution of the Páramo Biota, Tropical Dry Forest Conservation, Lauraceae Systematics, DNA Barcodes, Economic Botany, History of Botany and Tropical Landscaping.
