Conservation Assessment
Since 2019, I have been working for BGCI on the Global Tree Assessment which aims to have an IUCN Red List assessment for every tree species. I work with partners across the world facilitating the review process of assessments. I also have been producing assessments of timber species. I am also responsible for updating GlobalTreeSearch, a database that lists every accepted tree species.
Previous to this I completed an MSc in Plant and Fungal Taxonomy, Diversity and Conservation at RBG Kew and Queen Mary University of London. From this, I have had a research focus on taxonomy and conservation assessments of African Dioscorea (yams).
