In response to the dual crises of climate change and loss of biodiversity, Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI), the Society for Ecological Restoration, the World Agroforestry Centre, TRAFFIC, IUCN and other partners have developed the world’s first Global Biodiversity Standard that specifically recognises and promotes the protection, restoration, and enhancement of biodiversity in tree-planting, Forest Landscape Restoration, Nature-based Solutions and ecological restoration sites. BGCI and its partners have secured five years of funding (2022-2027) with which to develop, test and launch the Standard. We are looking for a Project Officer who will support the roll-out and implementation of the Global Biodiversity Standard.

Deadline: 30 September 2024

Contract Type: Full-time, 2 years Fixed Term Appointment, with potential to extend

Salary: £27k-£30k pa dependent on level of qualifications

Location: BGCI Offices, Kew, London but with option of hybrid/remote working
