Botanic gardens hold incredible collections of plant diversity and expertise with the potential for the restoration of all plants. Since 2019 BGCI has supported botanic gardens in their missions by providing small grants through the Global Botanic Garden Fund (GBGF). The GBGF grants, are awarded with preference given to gardens in developing countries and biodiversity hotspots to assists in all forms of plant conservation. With the help from your donations, BGCI has supported 90 different institutions in 45 countries. Together we have been able to disbursed a total of USD$263,200. See examples of how your donations have made a difference. 

• Conservation activities to save plant species from extinction.
• Education initiatives for botanic garden visitors, policymakers and non-specialists to raise awareness for the importance of plants and their conservation.
• The development of facilities for plant conservation.
• The training of specialists and local communities in plant conservation methods.
