BGCI-US & The Garden Club of America are delighted to announce the 2024 recipients of The Keller Scholarship in Conservation Horticulture
The goal of the scholarship is to promote plant conservation capacity and coordination among public gardens in the United States.
This year’s recipients and their host gardens are:
Gracianne Young – Lyon Arboretum, Honolulu, Hawaii
Annika Wu – The Morton Arboretum, Lisle, Illinois
Abigail Jones – Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, Austin, Texas
We look forward to watching their projects develop over the coming months!
We are also thrilled about the four 2023 scholarship recipients. Their work varied from using automated camera traps to monitor pollinator interactions in the federally threatened Baccharis vanessae to micropropagation of orchids and other rare plants. We are thrilled with the outcomes of these collaborations and look forward to seeing the results from this year’s recipient’s projects.
