Oh hey! We are back for episode 3! CBD COP-16 is in full swing, and we can’t wait to share more interviews with you, including voices from across the conservation sector.
It was so interesting to speak with David Bartholomew about The Global Biodiversity Standard for the third episode of BGCI: The Understory Podcast. After a couple of years developing their methodology, the support of over 100 NGOs, academics, and private sector organisations worldwide and several vital partner organisations, TGBS is entering an exciting new chapter.
TGBS is the world’s most scientifically rigorous biodiversity certification that recognises and promotes the protection, restoration, and enhancement of biodiversity. The Standard has been developed by a coalition of global experts to support the goals of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and is expected to issue its first certificates at the UN Biodiversity Conference (COP-16).
The Global Biodiversity Standard would not have got to this point without the hard work and dedication of our partners. These include;
Additional Support
- Darwin Initiative
- Etihad Airways
- JS Global
