The fourth in our BGCI webinar series was about “Increasing native species supply for ecological restoration”.
An inadequate supply of native species has been identified as a key bottleneck for meeting global ecological restoration targets. In this webinar we will explore methods botanic gardens and botanical institutions are using to increase the availability of native species for ecological restoration, with case studies from Uganda, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
The webinar took place on Thursday 27th May at 10am BST. Speakers included:
- Godfrey Ruyonga and Alisam Said Musa Mutegeki – Tooro Botanical Garden
- Dr. Dzaeman B. Dzulkifli David – Tropical Rainforest Conservation and Research Centre
- Jinlong Zhang – Flora Conservation Department, Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden
