BGCI is excited to announce that botanic gardens from BGCI’s GardenSearch are now mapped on the Restor platform. This will make it even easier to find a botanic gardens near restoration sites. As those in the botanical community already know, botanic gardens play a crucial role in nature conservation and restoration by:

  • Serving as living laboratories for studying plant species, their habitats, and ecological interactions.
  • Providing a source of native and rare plant species that can be used in restoration projects.
  • Safeguarding endangered plants, increasing the chances of their survival and potential reintroduction.

Over 3,000 botanical gardens from the BGCI’s GardenSearch are now mapped on Restor – browse away! New gardens added to GardenSearch will be periodically shared with Restor.
