“An ethnobotanical garden represents the traditions and knowledge of a culture, and the ensuing relationship with their natural environment. It can illuminate the stories of the past, or our present connection with the natural world.” Clemmie Borgstein
During a four-month internship with the Kawasan Wisata Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup Sun Bear Education Centre, East Kalimantan, Indonesia, Clemmie Borgstein, in collaboration with local partners, started the development of an inspiring ethnobotanical garden. Her practical, step-by-step manual details the various stages in the development of the garden, from conceptualisation to realisation.
