The latest issue of BGjournal, Vol. 21 No. 2 is now available. This issue focuses of Plant Health and Biosecurity.
This issue includes 13 articles from Botanic Gardens and Arboreta around the world showcasing the efforts that are carrying out to enhance biosecurity practices, monitor pests and diseases, educate on plant health, and foster network collaboration.
The issue features an article from Charles Lane and Chris Malumphy, diagnosticians at Defra (UK), introducing the International Plant Sentinel Network and new emerging pests and pathogens of concern for botanic garden and arboreta.
The Sidney Botanic Garden in Australia, one of the IPSN members, is our featured garden, and they have included an article about the role botanic gardens play in detection, surveillance and management of pests and diseases.
The issue also includes an interview with Trudy Paap, a South African plant pathologist, the latest BGCI news, and valuable biosecurity resources.
