We are excited to announce the launch of the new module in Spanish called “Programa de capacitación para los guardianes de los encinos’’ which will be available starting the 21st of March! This course provides basic knowledge about the ecology, morphology, and diversity of Oaks in Mexico and Central America. Once finished, you will have a greater understanding of the importance of conserving Oaks worldwide, in order to support their conservation and recognition.
Through this course, participants will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the importance of Oaks, learn propagation and cultivation techniques, as well as understand conservation and restoration strategies for Oak forests. Additionally, the module highlights the crucial role of the Global Conservation Consortia of Oaks (GCCO) in protecting these emblematic trees.
Don’t miss the chance to become a Steward of Oak Trees and contribute to its preservation!
