The Red Sudamericana de Jardines Botánicos (RSAJB) would like to invite you to the next Technical Talk in Spanish called:
‘El potencial terapéutico del contacto con la naturaleza, desde la evidencia técnica’: ‘The therapeutic potential of contact with nature from scientific evidence’.
This technical talk will explore the concept of “Forest Baths” or “Shinrin Yoku” in Japanese culture, a serene practice that connects us with nature and its profound healing potential. While it can be enjoyed for leisure, the conscious practice of Shinrin Yoku, experienced through all five senses, has remarkable beneficial effects on physical, emotional, and mental health. In the context of Bogotá’s predominantly urban environment, the “Nature, Health, and Culture Program” offers an adaptation called “Nature Baths” or “Nature Therapy,” which incorporates the various natural elements and vegetation characteristic of the region. This program aims to help individuals reconnect with nature, fostering a love for the Earth and promoting conservation efforts. Dr. Martha Liliana Perdomo Ramírez, the Director of the Bogotá Botanical Garden, will be sharing insights into this intriguing program during the talk, so don’t miss out!
The talk is on 23rd November 2023 at 18:00 hours.
