Botanic gardens were highlighted in special edition of Crop Science: Connecting Agriculture, Public Gardens, and Science.

BGCI-US has published an article entitled, “Botanic Gardens Are Important Contributors to Crop Wild Relative Preservation” in a special issue of the Crop Science journal focused on connecting agriculture, public gardens, and science. The article produced by BGCI-US summarizes results of an ex situ analysis conducted in partnership with the United States Botanic Garden, which demonstrate the important contributions botanic gardens make toward backing up crop wild relative species in ex situ collections.
