The Chicago Botanic Garden and partners recently published an article in Conservation Biology, focused on using the zoo model for ex situ conservation to manage long-term ex situ populations of exceptional plant species at botanic gardens. This work is part of a National Leadership Grant awarded to the Chicago Botanic Garden by the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS grant (MG‐60‐19‐0064‐19).
