In this Year in Review we highlight a number of successes that occurred throughout 2024, including;

• The successful 8th Global Botanic Garden Congress, held in Singapore in August 2024
• The Global Tree Assessment reaching the goal of over 80% of trees evaluated
• The Global Biodiversity Standard launch in COP-16
• BGCI’s Accreditation Scheme reached a significant milestone in 2024 by awarding the 100th botanic garden accreditation
• The new Voluntary Complimentary Actions for the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation (GSPC) were adopted at the UN Convention on Biological Diversity COP-16 in Cali
